Seminar on Contemporary Practices and Opportunities in E – Learning
The newly formed Zeal Club, at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad Campus, hosted a seminar on the topic “Contemporary Practices and Opportunities in E – Learning” on Thursday April 3, 2008. The seminar was arranged under the supervision of Mr. Shakeel Ur Rehman Raja, Assistant Professor, FMSS, Patron Zeal Club.
The guest speaker, Ms. Noor Amna, D.G Learning and Innovation Division, HEC, discussed the necessity of E-learning in today’s competitive learning environment. She made an excellent effort explaining the practicalities and implications of alternative business, communication and education models using her outstanding personal skills and professional experience. The main focus of the seminar remained the “E” in “E-learning” and this one hour seminar did meet its objective as indicated by all attendees. The seminar was arranged under the supervision of Mr. Shakeel Ur Rehman Raja, Assistant Professor, FMSS, Patron, Zeal Club and, was also attended by Dr. Safdar Butt, Dean, FMSS and Mr. Ansir Ali Rajput, HoD, FMSS. Zeal Club is thankful to all attendees for making this seminar a memorable one.

Seminar on Quality Assurance
The seminar on Quality Assurance was arranged from the platform of Jinnah Finance Society. Jinnah Finance Society has been actively participating to create awareness among the students regarding the practical aspects of financial. The topic of the seminar was “Quality Assurance in Financial Sector”. We had two guest speakers from the well known organization ‘United Bank Ltd’ Mr. Imran Gul i.e. Assistant Vice President Quality Assurance Unit and Mr. Yasir Abbassi Assistant Manager QAU. They discussed the quality standards in UBL and how quality is implemented in the service industry. They compared five leading banks operating in Pakistan. They stressed the need to implement quality that is the pre-requisite for retention of customers. The seminar ended with a question answer session. Dr. Safdar Ali Butt, Dean of Faculty Business and Social Sciences thanked the guests. Tea was served at the end of the seminar for the guests.

Collection of cash in the banking sector
The seminar was arranged through the platform of Jinnah Finance society and the guest speaker was Mr.Shahbaz Khan from United Bank Ltd. The aim was to educate our students on the importance of collection process in the financial sector. The topic of the seminar was “Collection of cash in banking sector”. Manager Collection, UBL shared his experience with us in a very interesting way. The session was very informative and it emphasized the importance of collections in the Financial Sectors and difficulties faced by the banks. It also discussed the role of the State Bank in formulating policies and establishment of credit information bureau to assist financial institutions in streamlining their credit processes. The seminar ended with a question answer session. Tea was served to the guests.

Grid Computation Visualization
JSPARK organized a seminar on Grid Computation Visualization, on May 19, 2008. Dr.Rehan, was the guest speaker and presented his topic in a very efficient way. Dr.Abdul Qadir (Dean of FEAS) and Dr.Nayyar Masood (HOD of CS & BI Department) were also present. Visiting faculty members were also present. Audience participation in the question-answer session was good. Dr.Nayyar Masood presented a M.A.J.U. shield to the guest speaker.

Visit to National Agricultural Research Center
On May 5, 2008 NEXUS (The Marketing Society) organized a visit to National Agricultural Research Council (NARC), Islamabad. This visit was arranged by organizational behavior students.The students were warmly welcomed by Dr. Mohammad Banaras Raja, Principal Scientific Officer, who took them to the ITTT Department and gave a briefing about NARC.

Report on Focus Group
On April 28, 2008, NEXUS (The Marketing Society) organized a Focus group on “Experimental evidence on the effect of gender”.
Ms. Nadia Malik was the Chief speaker. She is basically doing her Masters from Fatima Jinnah University and for her thesis, this event was organized to help her collect the primary research. She gave a brief introduction about the activities to be conducted which were based on the Game Theory. The game consists of four rounds and the students were analyzed through these rounds. This was arranged by organizational behaviour students under the guidance of Ms. Maria Mashkoor, NEXUS patron.

Disaster Management
NEXUS – The Marketing Society organized a Seminar on ‘Disaster Management’ on May 2, 2008.
The purpose of this seminar was to give students an insight about the practical implication of Disaster Management and how organizations deal with this problem. Mr. Imtiaz Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner Government of A.J.K Muzaffarabad was the guest speaker. He emphasized on the understanding of disaster and different types of disaster. He also focused on the different situations where the disaster occurred. He also explained what kind of precautionary measure should be taken before and after the disaster. A question/answer session was followed by the souvenir being presented to the guest speaker.

Visit to PTV Network
NEXUS (The Marketing Society) organized a visit to PTV Network, Islamabad, on April 21, 2008. This visit was arranged by organizational behavior students under the guidance of Ms. Maria Mashkoor (NEXUS patron).

Construction has begun on the new M.A.J.U. campus
Mian Amir Mehmood, Chancellor Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, recently visited the proposed site for the new campus at Sihala, Islmabad. The new campus is located near the Soan Bridge on Kahuta Road and is spread over 100 kanals of land and is a mega project.

M.A.J.U. Lions vs. M.A.J.U. Tigers
A hockey match between different faculties has now become a part of the culture of the University. Jinnah Sports Club once again organized the match in this semester on April 30, 2008 under the supervision of Mr. Arif Khattak. M.A.J.U. Tigers played for the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences and the team playing for the Faculty of Management & Social Sciences were the MAJU Lions.
The match was played in The Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium Islamabad and Mr. Ansir Ali Rajput (HoD Management Sciences) was the chief guest for this match, which was watched by a large number of students and spectators. Athar Waseem was the captain of M.A.J.U Tigers, and Farrukh Kaleem was leading the M.A.J.U Lions. The match began at 5:00 pm and it was an interesting, entertaining and a thrilling match. The superb performance of the captain of M.A.J.U Tigers lead the team towards the victory stand with the goal score of 3-1.
Mr. Ansir Ali Rajput presented the winner’s trophy to M.A.J.U Tigers and the runners up trophy to M.A.J.U. Lions.

M.A.J.U. students visit Pakistan Tobacco Company, Jehlum
On April 19, 2008 NEXUS (The Marketing Society) organized a visit to Pakistan Tobacco Company (PTC) in Jehlum. Ms. Sadia Khan (HR Manager) welcomed the students and gave a brief introduction about PTC. She focused on the HR strategies of PTC which includes the five pillars known as Talent, Reward, Learning, Leadership and Culture.
After the question answer session, a visit to the floor site was conducted, where students were given a thorough survey about the production operations.
The visit to PTC was arranged by organizational behaviour students under the leadership of Ms. Maria Mashkoor Lecturer, NEXUS patron. Souvenirs were presented on behalf of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad Campus.

Fateha Offered
Members of the faculty of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad Campus, offered Fateha for the late Pro.V.C.of Balouchistan University, Professor Dr.Safdar Kyani, who was recently murdered in Quetta.
The members expressed their feelings of sorrow on this sad and cruel incident and prayed for the well being of the family.

M.A.J.U’s Research Student Won HEC-IRSIP Funding for Measurement Campaign at University of Texas at Arlington (UTA)
Mr. Ghufran Ahmed, a PhD Scholar at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University and working under the supervision of Dr. Noor M. Khan won IRSIP funding from HEC to carry on lab experiments in Wireless Sensor Networks at Center for Research on Wireless Mobility and Networks (CReWMaN) lab, University of Texas at Arlington, USA. The lab experiments will involve:

MAJU’s Research Team Won the Best Paper Award in IT Conference
Wireless Sensor Networks Research Group comprising of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University and Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute research students working under the supervision of Dr. Noor M. Khan, Assistant Professor won the best paper award at Cybertech Conference on cyber-technology issues, challenges & development 2007, Karachi. Authors of the honored research publication were Mr. Zubair Khalid (GIKI), Mr. Ghufran Ahmed (M.A.J.U.) and Dr. Noor M. Khan (M.A.J.U.). Mr. Nauman Atique (BIIT) presented the paper in the conference and received the Gold Medal from Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, Chairman HEC, Pakistan, on behalf of the authors.

Visit to Haidry Pepsi Ltd
On April 15, 2008, NEXUS The Marketing Society and Organizational Behaviour students organized a visit to Pepsi Haidry Beverages Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Shahryar Khan HR Manager welcomed the students and gave a brief introduction about Haidry Beverages Pvt Ltd. He also spoke about the various varieties of the products of Pepsi such as, Tropicana Juice, Lays etc. The students visited the production of Pepsi, Miranda, Mountain Dew, Pepsi Max and 7 up. In the end there was a question answer session which covered the topics of organizational culture and change, motivational policies, current competitors and hiring procedures. Refreshments were served later on and souvenirs were presented from our side.

Students visit Zia Steel Mills
On April 11, 2008 NEXUS The Marketing Society of Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad Campus, organized a visit to Zia Steel Mills. This visit was arranged by organizational behavior students under the leadership of Ms. Maria Mashkoor (NEXUS patron).Mr. Hafiz Zahid Yusaf HR Manager explained the manufacturing operations and the hiring process in their steel mill. The General Manger Mr. Chaudhary Shabir took the around the different manufacturing departments of their industry. There was a question answer session followed by refreshments. M.A.J.U. shields were presented to the hosts.

Seminar on ‘International Marketing Challenges’
On 14th of April, 2008, NEXUS – The Marketing Society organized a Seminar on ‘International Marketing Challenges’ in the Iqbal Auditorium. This Seminar was arranged by the International Business Students (MBA).
Mr. Zill ur Rehman (Director Corporate Affairs) conducted a small presentation regarding the “Introduction and Corporate Functions” of Global Pharmaceuticals; while, Mr. M. Rashid Khan (Director International Marketing) conducted a presentation on “International Marketing, Opportunities and Current Challenges”.
After the question answer session, a souvenir was presented by Ms. Maria Mashkoor. Refreshments were served later on.

Seminar on “Impact of globalization on Pakistan Economy”
On April 12, 2008, NEXUS – The Marketing Society organized a Seminar on “Impact of globalization on Pakistan Economy” in the Iqbal Auditorium. This Seminar was arranged by the International Business Students (MBA). Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Khan (Former Foreign Secretary) shed light on globalization in broader terms rather than statistical facts and figures by taking the students from the journey of British colonial rule to the two world wars and explained how for the restructure of the world these world wars preceded to globalization.
After the question answer session, a souvenir was presented by Ms. Maria Mashkoor and refreshments were served.

Seminar on Cultural Change
On April 7, 2008, NEXUS, The Marketing Society, organized a Seminar on ‘Cultural Changes in an Organization’ in the Iqbal Auditorium. This Seminar was arranged by the Organizational Behaviour Students under the leadership of Ms. Maria Mashkoor Lecturer and Patron NEXUS.
Ms. Afira Tufail Assistant Manager, Al Baraka Islamic Bank, was the Guest Speaker for the event. She briefed the students on the very important organizational aspects such as Organization as a System, Importance of Organizational Culture and how to manage Cultural Changes in an organization with the help of providing practical examples from our daily lives, both on local and international scale.
After the question answer session, a souvenir was presented by Ms. Maria Mashkoor. Refreshments were served later on.

Seminar on Globalization, the WTO and Transnational Corporations
On March 17, 2008, NEXUS – The Marketing Society organized a seminar on ‘Globalization, the WTO and Transnational Corporations’ in the Iqbal Auditorium. This seminar was arranged by the International Business Students(MBA).
Mr. Aftab Alam Khan, International Coordinator, Trade Justice and Stop Corporate Abuse Initiatives; Action Aid International, was the Guest Speaker for the event. He, in detail, briefed the students with the concept of Globalization, how technology, trade and transnational corporations are playing a key role in this phenomenon. He also shed some light on the crucial role of The World Bank, International Monetary Fund and. International Trade Organization.
In the end, he spoke about the relationship of ITO, GATT and the WTO. The basics and problems associated with implementing WTO in developing countries were also discussed. The seminar was supervised by Miss Maria Mashkoor, Lecturer and Patron of NEXUS, who presented a shield to the guest on behalf of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University. Refreshments were served later on under the leadership of Ms. Maria Mashkoor (Lecturer/Patron).

Comparison of Religions
A seminar on Comparison of Religions was organized by BBA students. They were supervised by Dr.Ayesha Akbar. The seminar was held on March 31, 2008.
The Guest Speakers were Associate Professor Missbah, from NUML University, Islamabad, and Assistant Professor Mr.Mudassir from Islamic International University Islamabad. The seminar was conducted by the students of Major World Religions under the supervision of Dr.Ayesha Akbar.The seminar was very informative and the audience participated in the discussion on this topic and we extracted great ideas .

The Leadership and Team Management
A seminar on “Leadership and Team Management” was organized at Muhammad Ali Jinnah University by J- spark. The chief guest was Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, member Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. Dr. Nayeer (Head of Computer Sciences Department), Dr. Safdar Butt and other faculty member also graced the occasion with their presence. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed spoke briefly about “The Leadership and Team Management” and supports his arguments by giving examples from nature. Dr. Nayeer also elucidated on this topic highlighting the role of leadership and team management.
An informal discussion between Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Dr. Nayeer and Dr. Safdar Butt also took place while refreshments were served. At the end, Dr. Nayeer expressed his profound gratitude to Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed on behalf of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad Campus, and a shield was presented to the guest speaker.

Marketing Research Seminar
On March1, 2008, NEXUS – The Marketing Society organized a seminar on ‘Marketing Research’ in the Iqbal Auditorium. This Seminar was arranged by the Consumer Behaviour Students under the leadership of Ms. Komal Bhatti, Lecturer and Ms. Maria Mashkoor NEXUS Patron.
Mr. Waseem Ahmed, Branch Manager, Al-Falah Bank, was the Guest Speaker for the event. Initially, he briefly explained the concept of Market Research and then he moved on to the importance of it in today’s international arena. Types of Marketing Research along with Marketing Research Methods were in detail spoken on. In the end there was a question answer session.
Refreshments were served later on and a shield was presented on behalf on Mohammad Ali Jinnah University.

Small Scale Business
A seminar was organized by Talha Rasool, Tanveer Hussain, Jamal Khaliq, Idrees Ahmed, Kamran and Qasim Zaya from the platform of Entrepreneur Development Centre, (EDC) which is being run by Mr.Ansir Ali Rajput HoD MS. Mr.Ishafaq Khan Lecturer, was the supervisor.
Two guest speakers namely, Mr.Saeed Qadri, Chairman of VOXEL Communications, and Mr.Tauseeq Haider, CEO of Sharp Cut Films, participated in the seminar.
Both of the speakers are well known entrepreneurs of Islamabad and are consulted by the students who want to start their own business ventures. The basic theme of the seminar was to tell the students about small scale business, generating the passion among the students to have entrepreneurial skills in them and instead thinking of working somewhere they should think about starting their own business.
Mr.Tauseeq Haider was the first speaker and he told his story that how he started his own business with just an initial investment of 2.5 laks and after two years he is the owner of a business worth of 6.5 million. He gave the students different suggestions, shared his experiences and motivated the students that one should start their own business instead of working for someone else.
Mr.Saeed Qadri covered the theoretical frame work of entrepreneur skills and educated the students that before starting the business which are the steps which should be taken and then he mainly focused on the business plan, how to make it and after that how to implement it practically.

Performance enhancement in Technical Organization through Motivation
A seminar was scheduled for March 11, 2008 by Dr. Amir Qayyum. The guest speaker was Dr. Ali Sajid who spoke on “Performance enhancement in Technical Organization through Motivation”. After the hour and ten minutes presentation, there were questions and answers for abut 10 minutes. Dr. Fazal Ur Rehman, Head of Department Electronic Engineering presented a shield to the speaker. Then the speaker was taken to the conference room for tea along with Dr. Fazal Ur Rehman, Dr. Amir Qayyum, Mr. Saud and students who participated in the arrangement and management of this seminar.

Major World Religions
A seminar was conducted by the students of major world religions under the supervision of Dr.Ayesha Akbar on March 18,2008. The guest speaker was Madam Munazza Batool from Islamic International University Islamabad. She is doing her PhD in “Comparison of different Religions”. In the seminar the students had knowledgeable discussion on this topic exchanged ideas of mutual interest.
The students who organized the seminar were Raisa Saman Hashmi, Rabia Komal Ismail, Hira Naseer Malik , Faiza Zafar, Shehzadi Faiza Safder ,M.Haseeb Raja, and Zohaib Basher.

Bio security and Food Safety
Genix the Society of Bioinformatics occasionally organizes the educational and extra co-curricular activities. Recently a seminar on "Bio security & Food Safety" was organized on March 7, 2008 in Iqbal Auditorium.
The guest speaker was Dr. Aftab Iqbal Director General, NorAm Vancouver, Canada. He highlighted the importance of hygienic food and emphasized that to eat little and safe hygienic food is better than to fill the stomach with junk and un-hygienic food.
More over, Dr. Abdul Qadir – Dean, FEECS, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, remarked that organic food is healthier than commercialized inorganic food. The one and half hour session created awareness in students to promote hygienic food. Students and faculty members of M.A.J.U. actively participated in the seminar. The seminar was organized by senior bio-informatics students M.Sulaman, Ammad-ud-din, Sara Aziz, Bushra, Yasmeen, Hina and Sameera under the supervision of Dr.Hamid Rashid, Prof. Bio-Informatics Dept.of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad Campus.

Hiking Trip to Pir Sohawa
Jinnah Sports Society reshapes its Activities and Programs in Muhammad Ali Jinnah University. Mr. Arif Khattak, Sports Coordinator, organized different sports activities in the University and to involve the students and faculty members in those activities.
The first activity that Jinnah Sports Society organized on March 1, 2008 was a Hiking Trip via Track Three to Pir Sohawa. A large number of students signed up for the trek. The EVP M.A.J.U Dr. Mohammad Mansoor Ahmed showed his keen interest and participated in the event. Many other faculty members Mr. Ansir Ali Rajput HoD, Dr. Qadir Dean, Madam Qurat-ul-ain, Dr. Shaukat, Dr. Fazl-ur-Rahman, Dr. Imtiaz Taj, and Mr. Waseem Ahmed also participated.

Women’s Second Rock Climbing Competition
The Second Women Rock Climbing competition was held on March 8-9, 2008. This competition was organized by The Adventure Club with the collaboration of CDA. The competition was held at the rock climbing area of Margalla Hills, Islamabad. Adventure Club had hired trainers from America.
Students from different universities, colleges and schools participated in the competition. Girls from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University also participated and were supported by Jinnah Sports Club. Rock climbing was a new experience for the students and they were excellent. Their performance was appreciated by all the organizers, foreigners and audience. One of the students Sumaira from the CS Department came first in the Challenge Category in which there was no age limit and foreigners also participated. The Second position in this category was bagged by a M.A.J.U student named Tarim Khan from BBA and Misbah Rafique from BI Department came fourth.
The prize distribution ceremony was held at Hotel Pak Continental in the evening and the Director (Sports & Culture) CDA distributed the shields and prizes amongst the winners.

Women’s Cricket Match
M.A.J.U Sports Club has created a Girls Wing inside the club and Tarim Khan, a BBA student was elected the President. The Club coordinator and members of the girl’s wing decided in their meeting that they should organize M.A.J.U Women’s Cricket team and participate in the Fatima Jinnah Cricket tournament.
Trials were held at F9 Park and a team was selected for the tournament. Quratulain a BBA student was elected captain of the first M.A.J.U Women’s Cricket Team. The team performed really well in the tournament and reached the quarterfinal round but unfortunately lost to Islamic University. It was a great experience for the girls and they were quite happy. The Club plans to organize teams for other sporting events.

Inter-Departmental Cricket Match
Mohammad Ali Jinnah University regularly holds cricket matches between different departments which have now become a regular part of its culture. In this semester on March 13, 2008 a cricket match was played between Management Science Department and Engineering & Computer Science Department.
Jinnah Sports Club organized this match under the supervision of Dr. Nayyar. The match was played in Islamabad Cricket Club F-9 Park. It was a 30 over match. The captain of Management Science Department Farrukh Kaleem won the toss and elected to field first.
The Engineering & Computer Science Department gave a target of 143 Runs. The match resumed at 2:00 pm. after lunch. Four faculty members participated in the match. From the Management Science Department Mr. Arid Chattel and Mr. Said Ali Khan, and from the Engineering & Computer Science Department Dr. Mayer and Dr. Imtiaz Taj.
The second inning began under favorable conditions for the batting side. Management Science Department managed to get the target in just 20 overs with the loss of only 1 wicket. Atif Awan and Awais Nadir played superbly and scored 82 and 44 runs respectively.
In the presentation ceremony the winner’s trophy was awarded to Farrukh Kaleem Captain of Business side and Atif Awan got the Man of the match Award.

Visit to A.C.P Oil Mills (Pvt :)
Students of MBA-20 International Business, of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad Campus visited A.C.P Oil Mills (Pvt :) Ltd; on March 14, 2008. A.C.P Oil Mills (Pvt :) Ltd; is a family oriented business, manufacturing ghee, cooking oil and soap. It is a part of the A.C.P. group - pioneers of different types of industries and businesses.
Mr. Shiraz Majeed, Director Islamabad, welcomed the visiting delegation on behalf of the ACP oil team. The students were given a historical introduction to the company, followed by a visit to the production plant under the supervision of Mr. Azhar Hussain, Production Manager.
The students witnessed the entire production process of Ghee. The visit was under the supervision of Maria Mashkoor Lecturer/NEXUS Patron.

Visit to the English Biscuit Manufacturers
Students of MBA-20 (International Business), under the supervision of Ms. Maria Mashkoor Lecturer/NEXUS Patron, visited Cornet Foods Manufacturers, a subsidiary of English Biscuit Manufacturers in Hattar (Industrial Zone, phase III), on March 11, 2008. EBM is the country’s leading biscuit & cookies manufacturers with the production capacity of more than 65,000 tons, a turnover of more than Rs.7 billion; contributing Rs. 850 million annually to the national exchequer and providing direct employment to over 26000 employees nationwide.

Visit to RESCUE 15 Islamabad
On March 8, 2008, the students of Organizational Behaviour in collaboration with NEXUS – The Marketing Society, organized a field visit to the Rescue 15 Police Headquarters in Islamabad. The visiting delegation included 25 students. This visit was arranged under the leadership Ms. Maria Mashkoor, Lecturer/NEXUS Patron.

NEXUS BBQ
NEXUS took International Business and Management students for a BBQ at Rawal Lake on March 1, 2008. It was a practical exercise in which their management skills were put to test. The students supervised by Miss. Maria Mashkoor left the University at 11.00 am and returned to 5.00 p.m.
All the arrangements were made by the students and the cooking was also done by them. They were the BBQ Chef as well! Games including football, basket ball and Ludo were also played. The students also tried boating and enjoyed themselves.
Miss. Maria Mashkoor spoke highly of the students and their accomplishments. The students displayed the team spirit and practically implementing the 4 management techniques – Planning, Organizing, Controlling and Leading.

Seminar on “Recruitment and Selection”
A seminar on “Recruitment and Selection” was organized by the students of MBA M. Zahid Fida, Syed Haseeb Hassan, Sohail Shamim and Usman Yousaf under the supervision of Ms. Komal Khalid Bhatti on February 25, 2008. Dr. Aamir Murad, General Manager, HR(OGDCL) was the guest speaker and Dr. Safdar A. Butt, Dean, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences was the guest of honor at the seminar.
During the seminar, Dr. Aamir Murad emphasized that Recruitment and Selection are the most important tasks for an organization. An organization must undertake the recruitment procedure if it wants to appoint the right people under its employment. Recruiting people who are wrong for the organization can lead to increased labor turnover, increased costs for the organization, and lowering of morale in the existing workforce.

Nexus planned a recreational yet an educational marketing activity – ‘THE WELCOME GALA’ which was held on the roof-top of the University to ensure maximum participation of students; on the 21st February, 2008. It was a 1 full-day activity in which Consumer Behaviour students put up various stalls. Their performance, in terms of customer attraction and profit, was evaluated as a project.

A workshop on ‘Plagiarism’ was organized on February 9, 2008 in the Iqbal Auditorium, under the supervision of Ms. Maria Mashkoor, NEXUS Patron. The Workshop Convener was Mr. Salman Shehzad, who is with Hashoo Group/NIBAF as a Trainer. He is also an Assistant Professor at NIMS and the Student Ambassador of University of Westminster, UK.

Student activity during the Fall Semester was at an all time high during the year 2007. There were sports activities to organize, seminars and workshops to arrange plus assignments to complete. The faculty of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad Campus does its level best to help to prepare the students for challenging jobs of the corporate world.
