Visit to PTV Network

NEXUS (The Marketing Society) organized a visit to PTV Network, Islamabad, on April 21, 2008. This visit was arranged by organizational behavior students under the guidance of Ms. Maria Mashkoor (NEXUS patron).

Mr. Saqib Khan (Senior T.V. Engineering Department) guided us through the organizational visit in which the students were shown and briefed about the studios, control room, sound proofing, Information Technology Department, Program Scheduling System, and Cable Erection Room (brain of PTV). Mr. Rauf Kiani (Manager, Marketing Department of PTV Home Center) told the students about the marketing aspects of PTV especially the Marketing Sales and Marketing Traffic. Mrs. Rubina Jamil (APM of PTV Home Center) dealt with the HR side of PTV, explaining to the students the various aspects of PTV and its HR policies.

Towards the end of the visit, Mr. Qamar Iqbal (General Manager PTV Training Academy) led the students to the PTV Training Academy where the students were briefed about the five areas (Production, Program Production, News Production, Cameramen, Editing and Sports production) in which staff is trained.

After a question answer session, refreshments were served and souvenirs were presented from our side.
