NWFP UET STUDENTS’ INTER PROVINCIAL CULTURAL EXCHANGE VISIT |
Fourteen students accompanied by two faculty members visited this University to share their provincial culture and thoughts. During the meeting held in the Workshop Room, patrons and coordinators of different societies interacted with the visiting students and gave a brief introduction of their society, its aims and objectives. Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad Campus has nine different societies e.g. JES, Crescendo, JSpark, Genix, Nexus, Gleam, Jinnah Finance Society, Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC) and Society of Human Resource (SHRM) interacted with the delegation and briefed them about the activities conducted by them. The visiting students were given a tour of the campus conducted by Mr.Amir Azhar, Lab Manager while Mr.Khurrum Shehzad Librarian gave a briefing about the library. A meeting was arranged between the members of the NWFP UET students’ Inter Provincial Cultural Exchange Program and the Crescendo team and Patron Ameena Zafar on 28 April, 2009, in the workshop room. The objectives and activities of the society were presented to the visiting students by the Patron. She informed the visitors that Crescendo provided a platform for students to enhance their intellectual and professional capabilities by planning, organizing and participating in events that encouraged their creativity and professional and personal development. By arranging educational seminars, competitions, workshops, art exhibitions, musical shows, drama festivals etc. Crescendo intended to make every event a memorable experience that gave the students an opportunity for self expression and facilitated participation and progress. Handouts listing some of the society activities and events mentioned below were also given to the visitors
