Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad signs an MoU with Staffordshire University, UK for Partnership in BS Electronic Engineering

For an ambitious and constantly-growing teaching institution, provision of quality education needs good collaboration of some experienced and quality-aware institution in a technically-advanced country. Partnership at the Undergraduate level between Mohammad Ali Jinnah University and Staffordshire University (UK) for BS Electronic Engineering Program can be regarded as one of the best examples of such collaborations.
Staffordshire University is well known for its quality education in Engineering and Technology. Currently its Film-Technology program, an off-shoot of Electronic Engineering is considered as one of the best programs in UK. Recently, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Staffordshire University, UK for a (3+1) Partnership in Electronic Engineering at BS level. The documents were signed by Prof. Teeranlall Ramgopal Pro Vice Chancellor of the Staffordshire University and Dr. Noor Muhammad Khan Associate Professor of the Mohammad Ali Jinnah University in a ceremony held at the Vice Chancellor’s office of the Staffordshire University, Stafford, UK on October 22, 2010. |

According to the partnership, a BS student of Electronic Engineering Program at MAJU can transfer his/her 3-years credits to Staffordshire University for onward enrollment in the final year of its BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering Program. Both Universities reached at the agreement after a thorough course mapping and quality assurance from their respective departments. It is worth-mentioning that the BS Engineering programs of the both universities are properly accredited by respective Engineering Councils of their countries.
The agreement is suppose to provide the students of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University with an opportunity of overseas exposure in a technically advanced country along with a chance to exploit the industrial linkages of Staffordshire University in their final-year projects. More over both partners also vowed to extend their partnership to the other areas, as well including Computer Sciences and Bioinformatics in future. |
