Background |
The entrepreneurship development center is established in Mohammad Ali Jinnah University to facilitate the students from entrepreneurship perspective. Specifically, it is for planning and implementing entrepreneurship development programs such as training, education, research and consultancy.
EDC is planning to expand its academic programs to include entrepreneurship courses. Among the programs to be offered are Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship, Workshop on small business management and organizing seminars and conferences. The main objective of the programs is to increase the supply of Technopreneurs, Entrepreneurs in the country. |

Philosophy |
EDC upholds the philosophy that entrepreneurs can be created and developed if they are trained with the appropriate business acumen, entrepreneurial skills, attitude and motivation. The enterprise created will sustain and grow if excellent post training support services are offered to them.

Strategies |
EDC has taken three strategic approaches in developing entrepreneurs as follows:
- Inculcating entrepreneurial values among students in order to develop knowledgeable and technological entrepreneurs.
- Enhancing the capabilities of new and existing entrepreneurs through the entrepreneur development and enterprise development programs.
- Assisting entrepreneurs in establishing new business, developing and maintaining their enterprises through business advisory and consultancy services.
