The MS program in Electronic and Computer Engineering emphasizes the practical applications of Electrical, Electronics and Computer technologies to the needs of the society. The program is designed to prepare students for the industry and for teaching, and research careers. It prepares students for careers in industry, government and academia; and provides well-defined targets for students who want to advance or update their knowledge in selected areas At the MS level, the department offers specializations in the fields of: Control Systems, Signal Processing, Microelectronics & Microwave, Telecommunication, Networks, and Computer Vision..

 
     
 
Admission Requirements
 
     
 
  • Sixteen years of schooling or 4 years education after F.Sc. (130 credit hours) leading to BS/BE in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
    OR
  • M.Sc. in Electronics / Physics / Mathematics / Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2.0 CGPA on the Scale of 4.00
  • GAT general / Admission Test
 
     
  Note: Applicants may be required to take some Undergraduate courses to fulfill pre-requisite deficiencies if determined by the Admission Committee. A tentative list of number of deficiency courses expected for the students who are changing their domain is given in the following table.

Apart from fulfilling the credit hour requirement (18 SCH) from specialization courses, a student, of MS Electronic Engineering or MS Computer Engineering, will complete the remaining credit hour requirements by taking elective courses. A student can also take additional specialization courses as elective courses. Maximum of two inter-departmental graduate courses can also be taken as electives, with permission from the department. DURATION
This is normally a two years program comprising of 4 semesters. There will be a Fall and a Spring semester in each year. The maximum duration to complete MS in Electronics and Computer Engineering is 4 years.
