The Masters in Computer Science (MCS) is a 2 years degree designed for the students who have completed 14 years B.A/B.Sc. degree. This degree aims at providing necessary skills required to construct reliable software systems by applying scientific, engineering and management principles. Computer science curriculum at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University encompasses sufficient areas of the disciplines to furnish the students with the fundamental knowledge and abilities necessary for specializing in computer sciences. To provide a firm foundation required for understanding, applying and developing software systems, the adequate number of courses in algorithms/programming/software and mathematics are included in the curriculum.
All the courses provide the breadth that is essential for professional growth at the under graduate level. All these courses have an essential component of practical work formally in the form of essential labs or informally in the form of assignments or semester projects. The environment encourages creativity and an ambition driven approach to deliver results.
