Q1. Is, M.A.J.U recognized, and if so then by whom?
 A. Muhammad Ali Jinnah University has a Government Charter as a comprehensive institution, authorized to award earned or honorary degrees at all levels, from Associate to Doctorate, in all disciplines.  All degree programs offered at M.A.J.U are recognized by HEC (The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan) and all its Engineering Degrees are recognized by PEC (The Pakistan Engineering Council).

Q2. Is M.A.J.U. a Private Sector university or does it belongs to the Public Sector?
A.M.A.J.U. is a University in the Private Sector.

Q3. When does the university announce admissions?
A.The university offers admissions twice in a year. The Fall semester normally begins in August for which the admissions start from June, whereas the Spring semester usually begins in January for which the admissions start in November.

Q4. What is the procedure to apply for admission?
A. You have to purchase the admission kit from admission office or you can download the admission form from our website and post it with a bank draft of Rs 1000/- from any bank in the name of M.A.J.U.

Q5. What documents are required at the time of admissions?
A.Following documents are required at the time of admission.

• Attested copy of SSE certificate/detailed mark sheet/equivalent
• Attested copy of H.S.S.E certificate/detailed mark sheet/equivalent
• Attested copy of degree of and mark sheet of bachelor level examination/ equivalent
• Attested copy of degree of BA//BSC/B.COM/BBA/BS/MA/MS
• Attested copy of provisional certificate for result awaiting student
• Attested copy of National Identity Card or Form “B”
• Attested copy of award letter in case of fellowship/scholarship
• Five recent photo graphs (should be 1” 1” each
• For foreign student NOC from: (a) Respective Embassy (b) Ministry of education (c) Ministry of Interior

Q6. Do you entertain transfer cases?
A. Yes, but conditions apply. Contact Admission office for complete information on this topic

Q7. Do you follow an open policy in awarding admissions?
A. Yes, we are offering open merit admissions. There is no quota system.

Q8. I appeared in F.Sc final exam. Can I apply for admission as a result awaiting student?
A. Yes, you can apply as a result awaiting student. In such an eventuality you will have to fill out and sign the “Undertaking Form” in which you will guarantee that you will get the minimum marks required for admission to the program of your choice, failing which your admission will be cancelled.

Q9. What type of entrance test will be given?
A.  The admission test is a combination of Maths, English Comprehension, IQ and General Knowledge.

Q10. Which documents are required at the time of admission?
A.  All last mark sheets, copy of NIC and 5 photographs are required.

Q11.Are candidates required to bring all original documents at the time of   interview?
A. Yes, all original documents of the candidate are required for the interview.

Q12. When is the final list for successful candidates displayed?
A. The list of successful candidates is normally placed on the website within a week after the admission test is conducted.  All successful candidates are also informed individually.

Q13. When do the classes begin?
 A. Normally Classes of Fall semester commence in the last week of August, and classes for the Spring semester commences in the last week of January.

Electronic Engineering

A.The entry requirements to the BS EE  Honors Degree Program are:
Higher Secondary School Certificate or Equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Computer Sciences securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or Diploma of Associate Engineer Examination in Electrical/Electronics securing at least 70% marks. This is a morning program.

Q2. What is the duration of the BS EE honors program?
A.  The normal duration for the program is 8 semesters or 4 academic years.

Q3. Is M.A.J.U’s BS EE honors program accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council?
A.  Yes, the BS EE honors program is accredited by the PEC.

Q4. Does M.A.J.U offer any graduate programs in Electronic Engineering?
A. Yes, M.A.J.U offers the MS EE degree program and PhD in Electronics Engineering degree program. Both these are evening programs.

Q5. What are admission requirements for the MS EE degree program?

A.  The admission requirements for the MBA regular program are a minimum of 14 years of education (bachelor’s degree) in any discipline with 45% aggregate marks. This is a morning program.

A. The normal duration of this program is 7 semesters or 3 and 1/2 academic years.

Q4.Are any postgraduate programs offered for students who have done the MBA degree?
A.  After completion of MBA you can enter the PhD in Management Science degree program. This is an evening program.   

Q5.Is there any option of MBA for those students, who have not studied business in past. If yes, then what are the admission requirements for MBA?
A.  The admission requirements for the MBA are a minimum of 16 years of education in any discipline with 60% aggregate marks or 2.5 CGPA. This is a morning program.

A. Yes, the MBA program is recognized by HEC

Q7.What is the duration for this MBA?
A.  The normal duration of this program is 5 semesters or 2.5 academic years.  The duration is increased because deficiency courses need to be conducted.

A.  The admission requirements for the MBA professional program are:
A minimum of 14 years of education (bachelor’s degree) in any discipline. This is an evening program.
